Algorithm Suite for Defensive Weapons Allocation

Abstract

The engagement problem faced by a battle manager acting within a defensive system against a ballistic missile threat is described and modeled. A strategy for solving the engagement problem with a suite of weapons allocation algorithms is discussed. The individual algorithms are described; since the weapons allocation problem has been shown to be NP-Complete, all the algorithms employ heurisitcs.
