Control of Surface Attack by Gallium Alloys. Phase 2

Abstract

The potential for eutectic alloys of Gallium in current collectors is examined. The focus of the program was on GalnSn alloy. Basic properties of the alloy are determined as well as oxide control and corrosion of copper. Designs for high current density current collectors are examined including novel hydrodynamic pads. Alloy handling problems and material compatibility are discussed.
