Expression of Immunogenic Virus Proteins in Eukaryotic Vector Systems.

Abstract

The overall aim of the study is to develop, in a eukaryotic expression system, a means of producing Hantaan Virus (HTV) proteins which are involved in the immune response to virus infection. In order to achieve this , it will be necessary to clone ths S and M genomic segments of the virus, sequence them and define encoded genes. The expression system we have chosen is vaccinia virus, which both produces large amounts of cloned product and can also be employed as a live vaccine construct. (mjm)
