Primary Dermal Irritation Potential of Diethyleneglycol Dinitrate (DEGDN) inRabbits

Abstract

The primary dermal irritation potential of diethylene glycol dinitrate (DEGDN) was determined in New Zealand White rabbits using a modified Draize procedure. The test compound was classified as a nonirritant following a 4-hour application period. Neither edema, erythema, nor any other recognizable skin reaction was detected at any time during the 72-hour observation period.
