Selected Medical Care Statistics, Quarter Ending September 30, 1988

Abstract

This document presents quarterly summary data concerning medical care provided at fixed military medical facilities located in the United States and outside the United States, in territories, possessions and foreign countries. This publication contains pie charts which are based on the percent of the worldwide DoD total for each of the categories. Admissions and beds occupied by dependents of other uniformed personnel (PHS, CG, NOAA) are less than one percent and are included in the other category. This annual fiscal year edition also contains consolidated data for fiscal year 1988 as well as five year comparison tables for fiscal years 1984 - 1988. Fiscal year data for operating beds, operating bassinets, and beds occupied are generated by averaging the quarterly sets of data received during the fiscal year.
