A Study of the Committee Structure of Ireland Army Hospital, Fort Knox, Kentucky

Abstract

This study was designed to determine the optimum committee structure for Ireland Army Hospital. The author points out that for health care providers committee time is often synonymous with nonproductive time. He examines both Resource Management Committees and Quality Assurance Committees in the hospital, to include a cost analysis of the committees. He gives specific recommendations for restructuring the committee organization of the hospital, and for changing the way in which committees are run.
