Proposal and Testing of a Methodology for Evaluating an Occupational Health Program at a U.S. Army Installation

Abstract

This study was designed to develop explicit and effective criteria for assessing compliance with predetermined standards related to the Army Occupational Health Program. The author employed a face-to-face panel technique to develop criteria and measurement tools at two different Army installations. Discrepancies in the criteria and measurement tools between the two panels showed weaknesses in the evaluation methodology. The author also felt that the method would be impractical because the methodology was too time consuming. Keywords: Medical services, Military hygiene.
