Density of Triethanolammonium Nitrate and Liquid Propellant

Abstract

The density of hydroxylammonium nitrate based liquid propellants has been evaluated with particular attention given to the system 1845 containing triethanolammonium nitrate as fuel. It was found that density relationships of such systems could be correlated to the molten density of ingredients as opposed to crystalline density values. Equations are presented relating densities to concentrations and satisfactory comparisons are made to experimental measurements. Keywords: Liquid gun propellants.
