Part 1 contains listings with abstracts of individual and group research projects sponsored by the Naval War College's Center for Advanced Research. It also lists several prize-winning essays. Part 2 lists student research papers which analyze a tactical, operational, or strategic issue related to military tasks or functions. Part 3 lists faculty publications and Part 4 lists monographs published by the Naval War College Press available for sale by the Superintendent of Documents. Author, title, and subject indexes identify each bibliographic listing with an entry number. The thoughts and opinions expressed in these research papers and publications are solely those of the authors. They are not necessarily those of the Navy Department or the Naval War College.
