New Vinylidene Fluoride Copolymers: Poly(vinyl Acetate-co-Vinylidene Fluoride)

Abstract

Copolymers of vinylidene fluoride and vinyl acetate have been prepared at varied compositions and characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FTIR, DSC and TGA. Copolymers were obtained as both THF soluble and insoluble fractions with the former having a relatively random distribution of monomers along the chain and the latter being somewhat blocky in nature.
