Radar Waveforms Derived from Orthogonal Matrices

Abstract

New polyphase coded sequences are described that may be used to modulate a carrier frequency in pulse compression waveforms. These waveforms have low sidelobes when individual or multiple pulses are appropriately processed. They are related to orthogonal matrices that may be associated with complementary sequences and also with periodic waveforms having autocorrelation functions with constant zero-amplitude
