Marine Corps Dining Concepts in the 1990's. Volume 4. Design Guide
Abstract
To regain efficiency and excellence in its feeding facilities, the U. S. Marine Corps needs to renovate or build new mess halls with a long-term (15 to 20 years) plan in mind. This report, volume IV of a four volume set, provides the physical layouts, decor recommendations, and equipment lists for suggested dining facility configurations. Volume I establishes the analysis, synopsizes conclusions, and provides overall recommendations. Volume II analyzes the demographic factors and food industry trends that may influence future food service and examines customer expectations through surveys and expert opinions. Volume III is the systems analysis, detailing how man and machine support the food service effort. These volumes culminate the investigations of numerous people over the course of the project and are offered as templates for future marine corps dining facilities. Keywords: Food industry, Decor, Enlisted dining facilities.
