Health and Safety Plan, Installation Restoration Program Stage 3 McClellan Air Force Base

Abstract

This document contains the Health and Safety Plan to protect the health and safety of workers conducting currently anticipated aspects of Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) work tasks at McClellan AFB. This Health and Safety Plan is designed to ensure that all work tasks associated with the RI/FS are completed in a safe manner and in accordance to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 Code of Federal Regulations 1910.120. This plan is written based on the guidelines outlined in the Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (October 1985) prepared as a joint effort by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, OSHA, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Coast Guard and in accordance with OSHA Standards for General Industry, 29 CFR 1910.120, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response.
