Chronograph, Field Artillery

Abstract

This report describes tests for a type of Doppler radar system referred to as a radar chronograph. Radar chronographs, such as the M90, are used by the U.S. Army for measuring muzzle velocity in field artillery applications. Included in this TOP are testing and data-reduction procedures for the following subtests: laboratory electronic field operation, adverse condition, transportability, reliability, maintenance, safety, and human factors. Keywords: Chronograph; Doppler radar; Field artillery; Muzzle velocity; Radar chronograph.
