An Assessment of Training Needs of the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard of Idaho

Abstract

This research note identifies the training needs of the Idaho National Guard and Idaho Reserve units (the Reserve Component - RC), and recommends potential solutions to the problems discussed. Needs were identified through written survey administered to Idaho RC soldiers, and through observing soldier performance during Active and Inactive Duty Training. Recommended solutions were derived from information obtained in follow-up interviews conducted with junior enlisted soldiers, noncommissioned officers, and officers.
