Constraints-Based Specification and Synthesis of Functional Analog Modules

Abstract

This paper describes a new methodology for synthesizing analog circuits based on declarative behavioral specifications. Behavioral specifications are translated into a convex energy function. Analog circuitry is used for the realtime search for a solution to system constraints. The uniqueness of the design procedure is due to the explicit synthesis of the design from its high-level specifications.
