Evaluation Report of Sytek PFX A2000 and PFX A2100

Abstract

The Sytek PFX and A2100 systems were evaluated against the authentication, identification, and audit requirements specified by the DoD trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria, dated 15 August 1983. It is a user- authentication mechanism for use with computer system which either lack user- authentication capability or require additional assurance. The PFX A2000 system is a challenge/response device. A hand-held PassPort device is used to combine the challenge with seed information to generate a seven-digit response which allows the user to gain access to the host computer system. This report documents the evaluation of this product.
