High Resolution Threshold Photodetachment Spectroscopy of Negative Ions

Abstract

We have designed and constructed a negative ion threshold photo detachment spectrometer with 3/cm (0.37 meV) resolution. Threshold photo detachment spectra of I- and SH- have been obtained. For SH-, individual rotational transitions between the ion and neutral appear as clearly resolved peaks. Keywords: Negative ion photo detachment; Clusters.
