Evaluation of Plastic Media Blasting Equipment

Abstract

This report evaluates the design of plastic media blasting (PMB) equipment currently used in the military and private industry. Five PMB functional equipment groups were established: blasting, floor recovery, media recycling, ventilation, and dense particle removal. Blasting tests performed with a glovebox nozzle blast assembly were observed to effectively clean and recycle plastic media. Paint stripping, Hazardous waste, Abrasive blasting.
