Conference on Mathematical Frontiers and the Physical World

Abstract

This conference was held at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University on October 30-31 of 1981. There were eight lectures delivered by distinguished speakers during the two days covering a wide spectrum of topics in mathematics and its applications. The speakers were Professors Bombieri, Chorin, John, Keller, Lanford, Lebowitz, Lewy, and Lieb. The conference was attended by over two hundred scientists and was in many ways a great success.
