Category 1 Project Machine Shop Improvements. Phase 3 Proposal. Revision A

Abstract

This project will minimize space between work areas for product throughput and minimize material handling. This project will include the procurement of specific equipment and tools, improve machining methods and improve the facility layout. The functional improvements will be in the machine shop, sheet metal shop and welding shop. This Phase III proposal is the result of the successful completion of Phase II of the Machine Shop Improvement Project. This project was chosen in Phase I as an attractive opportunity for productivity improvements. Phase II identified moderate cost savings in production through modernization improvements. Cost benefit analysis for the project was based on the aggregate of the proposal improvements.
