Early Warning and the Tank

Abstract

This report considers the value of early warning to a tank in defense and offense. It discusses the location, activities, and reaction times of crewmen and compares the times for a crew to reach combat readiness with and without early warning. It concludes that early warning may be of value for the defender and of lesser value to an attacker. Keywords: Detectors; Tank crews.
