Defense Data Network X.25 DTE Conformance Test Software Link and Network Layers
Abstract
This software provides the capability to test the conformance of a host communications interface with the Department of Defense's Defense Data Network (DDX.25) (link and network layers) protocols. The host conformance tests are contained on three diskettes; X.25 Link Layer (DTE) test diskette, X.25 Network Layer (DTE) Standard diskette, and X.25 Network Layer (DTE) Basic diskette. This software is executable on a Tekelec Chameleon 32 that uses the MS-DOS operating system. Software for earlier model Tekelec Chameleons may be obtained by contacting the Defense Communications Agency, Code B670, at (703) 385-5337. The DCA's Circular DCAC 370-P195-5, Defense Data Network Host Interface Qualification conduct the test, and also lists the complete test scenarios in an English language form referred to as 'X' notation. The circular is not part of this software package and is separately available through NTIS. The MS-DOS Chameleon 32 DDN Test software may be copied via an IBM PC or compatible clone, but the software properly executes only on the Chameleon 32. The software is written in the Assembly and Chameleon Basic programming languages for implementation on a Tekelec Chameleon 32 or compatible machine using MS-DOS operating system. Documentation resides on the diskette. This software is contained on 3-1/2-in. diskettes, double-density(720K) compatible with Tekelec Chameleon 32 microcomputer. The diskettes are in the ASCII format.
