Review and Analysis of BIFV (Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle) Operations under All Visibility Conditions

Abstract

This report discusses the results of a problems analysis conducted as the initial step of multiyear research effort. Researchers analyzed Bradley doctrine, tactics, techniques, and training, with particular emphasis on reduced visibility operations. The problem analysis phase identified areas where the Bradley's combat effectiveness could be enhanced. Recommended solutions to some of the problems are presented. For other problems, directions for future research are detailed. This report provides background and guidance for ongoing Bradley research.
