Design of Experiments and Reliability Models
Abstract
Our research in design of experiments included the following areas: 1) Efficient designs for experiments involving several factors; 2) Efficient designs for repeated measurements models; 3) Trade off in designs; 4) Flexible orthogonal arrays; 5) Efficient designs for comparing test treatments with controls; and 6) Designs for collecting data through sampling. Our research in reliability has been mainly directed to the following areas: 1) Multistate reliability models; 2) Optimal assembly of coherent systems (both in the binary and multistate cases); 3) Redundancy importance and allocation of spares in coherent systems; 4) Closure properties of classes of life distributions; and 5) Optimal inspection policies.
