Evaluation of Chemical Research Relevant to Current and Projected U.S. Air Force Interests

Abstract

The main activity carried out under this contract has been to evaluate research proposals submitted to the Directorate of Chemical Sciences, AFOSR. This has been carried out by expert scientists, both from Georgetown University faculty and from other university, industry and government laboratories. Eleven main meetings have been held to discuss evaluations of research proposals and also other portions of the AFOSR program. About sixteen university and industrial scientists and ten or more Air Force scientists attended each meeting (see table below). Detailed evaluations of all proposals were provided in written form.
