A Study to Determine Military Office Manpower at WRAMC (Walter-Reed Army Medical Center) that is Diverted from Patient Care

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine how much time is spent by medical officers in non-patient care, patient care, and non-available activities. Army officers involved in patient care activities were surveyed to measure the amount of time spent in patient care, non-patient care, and non- available activities. Results showed a general trend toward increased non- patient care with an increase in rank. The most significant decrease in patient care with rank increase occurred for the Army Nurse Corps officers. No relation was found between rank and non-available activities.
