An Application of Tensor Theory to 3-D Shape Analysis

Abstract

This paper presents two new approaches to address the shape recognition problem. The first concept is an extension of 2-D landmark-based shape analysis to the 3-D case. Secondly, it extends the work of Cyganski and Orr to rigid non-planar objects. Both approaches will be mathematically formulated, however no experimental results will be shown in this paper.
