Stick Propellant X-Ray Inspection

Abstract

A line scan x-ray transmission technique has been developed for the stick propellant automated inspection. The system has high reliability and is cost effective. This report documents the results of testing the stick propellant x-ray inspection system to measure the outer diameter, perforation diameter, web thickness, and density of M31A1E1 propellant sticks. Stick propellant, Perforation diameter, Web thickness, Density, Porosity, Inspection, Stick propellants, Slot width, Outer diameter.
