Review of Literature on Waste Solidification/Stabilization with Emphasis on Metal-Bearing Wastes

Abstract

Heavy metal contamination is the second most common contaminant minant at past Naval disposal sites. Various solidification/stabilization processes are available to make waste nonhazardous. Their effectiveness depends on the type, combination, and concentration of contaminants in the waste. Hazardous waste, Inorganic wastes, Chemical fixation stabilization, Solidification, Heavy metals.
