Nonlinear Optical Material Studies

Abstract

This report covers research on nonlinear optics theory. An analytical theory of the reflection and transmission of light from nonlinear optical interfaces is described. The general theory is applied to some simple two-dimensional nonlinear waveguide configurations. The intensity dependence of total versus differential ionization rates in laser-induced above-threshold ionization is also discussed. Keywords: Nonlinear optical materials; Nonlinear waveguides.
