Abstract

This guide is written to assist program managers achieving the necessary understanding of congressional involvement and relations with DOD. It describes how the congress is organized and structured to carry out its two major responsibilities in dealing with DOD: the legislative process and the oversight function. This guide covers congressional involvement in the DOD weapon system acquisitions process.
