CW Ultraviolet Laser Excited with an Electron Beam

Abstract

Laser oscillation was obtained in the 318 nm transition of AgII. excitation of the laser upper level occurs by charge transfer collisions between ground state neon ions created by electron beam ionization and silver atoms. CW laser oscillation was also obtained in the 478.8 line of AgII. (RRH)
