Radar Absorbing Materials - Mechanisms and Materials

Abstract

This Report gives an introduction to the theoretical basis for the design of radar absorbing materials (RAM) with emphasis given to techniques for modifying material properties to give the desired performance. These techniques include additives in the form of scatters, loops, antennae and graded absorbers. A brief survey of the more common types of commercially available radar absorbing material is given. Experimental methods for measuring and testing these materials are described. Australia. (rrh)
