Support of Purchase of a Gas Chromatographmass Spectrometer

Abstract

This grant was used to purchase a Kratos Model MS-25 High Sensitivity GC-MS (Gas-Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer) System. The computer system which is required to control the spectrometer and analyze the data was provided by the University of Wisconsin. The system was installed about seven (7) months ago and has been in heavy and constant use since its installation. The system is used primarily by graduate students for high resolution GC-Mass Spectroscopy studies. A majority of the students using the spectrometer are doing their graduate research under the direction of Professor Robert C. West. (JES)
