Abstract
These proceedings form a record of the lectures delivered at the Tenth Conference on Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, which was held at the University of Dundee, Scotland during July 1988. The Conference was attended by more than 100 mathematicians from Australia, Europe, North America, the People's Republic of China, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Poland and the USSR. It was organized by us and we thank all the mathematicians who took part in the work of the Conference. We also thank the University of Dundee for generously supporting the Conference; the Warden and Staff of West Park Hall for their help in providing accommodation for the Participants; Colleagues for their assistance during the week of the Conference, and the Bursar of Residences and the Finance Officer of the University of Dundee. It is a pleasure to record special appreciation of grants from the Science and Engineering Research Council and the European Research Office of the United States Army. These made available travel funds for the Plenary Speakers and also helped to provide secretarial services for the Conference.
