Merged Beam Studies into the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Molecular Ion Recombination

Abstract

Measurements of the dissociative Recombination and Excitation of HeH +, the dissociative excitation of H3(+), the branching ratio for the decay channels for H+(3) (v= O) recombination and the cross section for the recombination of H2(+) (v = O) have been performed and are described here. A discussion of the relevance of these measurements to the recombination of H3(+) (v = O) is given. Canada.
