High Performance Computer Programming Environments

Abstract

This one year grant had the primary goal the assessment of the Poker Parallel Programming environment and the planning and design of new parallel programming environment. These goals were achieved. The new programming environment, to be built on a software platform that permits rapid prototyping of alternative environments, was designed using a three level language abstraction. The central publications include the assessment of Poker, two papers on prototype graphic debugging environment, and two papers on parallel computer structures. Thomas J. Holman completed his Ph.D. degree.
