SEADYN90 User's Manual. Revision

Abstract

This manual describes the input structure to the latest release of the capable dynamics computer model SEADYN. SEADYN is a general purpose, finite- element FORTRAN code that models the static and dynamic responses of arbitrarily-configured cable structures, including effects due to: environmental loads, surface/bottom (with friction) interaction, variable length lines, moved boundaries, and strumming. Program features include: free-field input format; interfaces for user-specified drag coefficients, current fields, and time- variation functions; incremental and iterative numerical solution methods; RESTART capability; and user-defined output files. Example problems are included. Keywords: Ocean environments, Mooring lines, Truss structures.
