Training the Weekend Warrior in the Core Automated Maintenance System

Abstract

This document presents an analysis of the unique requirements of training the traditional guardsman (weekend warrior) as it relates to the implementation of the Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS) in aircraft maintenance. It looks at the marriage of the training conducted by the Air Training Command and those unique training requirements of the traditional guardsman. Shortfalls are identified and an alternative, interactive videodisc instruction, to platform instruction is offered.
