On Mean Value Iterations with Application to Variational Inequality Problems

Abstract

This report, shows that in a Hilbert space, a mean value iterative process generated by a continuous quasi-nonexpansive mapping always converges toa fixed point of the mapping without any precondition. This result is employed to obtain approximating solutions to the variational inequality and the generalized complementarity problems.
