Interaction of Switch Actuation on Tracking with a Four-Axis Flight Control (Cross-Coupling)

Abstract

This is the third in a series of investigations to generate a data base for multiaxis side arm flight controls. The purpose of this research is to determine the interaction between switch actuation and tracking performance while tracking in four axes. The research is required to specify the number and locations of switches that can be placed on the flight control. The long-range goal is to provide design recommendations and input to military specifications and standards. Tracking errors increase when switches associated with this control grip and controller mechanism are operated. Keywords: Control display; Helicopter control; Flight control; Tracking.
