A Management Process Workshop for Head Nurses with More than Two Years Experience in a Management Role

Abstract

Nurse-managers are appointed to positions of authority, direct the work of others, have a responsibility for resource utilization in the provision of patient care and are accountable for the results. These tasks are accomplished through the management process which involves the functions of planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. Successful nurse-managers will be those who understand and incorporate the management process into their daily activities. A management process workshop for head nurses with more than two years experience in a management role.
