Northeast Artificial Intelligence Consortium Annual Report - 1988. Volume 3. The Versatile Maintenance Expert System Research Project

Abstract

The Northeast Artificial Intelligence Consortium is to conduct pertinent research in artificial intelligence and to perform activities ancillary to this research. This report describes progress that has been made in the fourth year of the Consortium on the Versatile Maintenance Expert System research task. Technical areas addressed include candidate ordering, reordering and elimination, representation and diagnosis of sequential circuits, shadowing of deep knowledge and user interfaces. Work was initiated on the use of a more complex circuit as the testbed for this research. (jhd)
