Symposium on Applied Probability Held in Sheffield, England on 16-19 August 1989

Abstract

Included in the sessions of the Symposium in Applied Probability were: probability problems inspired by physics, models in epidemiology, probability in the theory of algorithms, mathematical models in finance, mathematical genetics, point processes, self-similar processes, networks, and branching processes. A volume of selected proceedings, fully referred and edited, will be published. This report consists largely of the program, including preprints, list of participants and other administrative paperwork. (edc)
