Fellowship in Physics/Modern Optics and Quantum Electronics

Abstract

Results of the Fellowship in Physics/Modern Optics and Quantum Electronics are reported. Included are details of the progress made in the following areas: femtosecond laser system; CuCl thin-film etalons; commercial semiconductor-doped glasses; coherent effects in semiconductors; MBE-grown ZnSe; optical Stark effect; quantum dots; and generation of tunable femtosecond pulses.
