Catalog of Training and Education Sources in Concurrent Engineering

Abstract

IDA Document D-666 contains information on training and education and their courses in concurrent engineering or in methods supporting concurrent engineering. Concurrent engineering is a systematic approach to the integrated, concurrent design of products and their related processes, including manufacture and support. This approach is intended to cause the developers, from the outset, to consider all elements of the product life cycle from conception through disposal, including quality, cost, schedule, and user requirements. This catalog contains 75 entries describing 119 programs with some entries having multiple programs. Of these, 6 are Associate Degree programs, 17 are Bachelor Degree Programs, 33 Master Degree programs, and 22 are Ph.D. programs. Three Certification programs are listed as well as 37 Continuing Education Programs and one post-graduate program.
