The purpose of the Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) survey conducted at this facility was to identify their best practices, review manufacturing problems, and document the results. The intent is to extend the use of progressive management techniques as well as high technology equipment and processes throughout the U.S. industrial base. The actual exchange of detailed data will be between contractors at their discretion. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the U.S. industrial base, solve manufacturing problems, improve quality and reliability, and reduce the cost of defense systems.
