Phase Locking of Two HIQ Resonators

Abstract

The experimental results of phase locking two confocal unstable resonators with 90 beam rotation (UR90 or HiQ) are presented. The two resonators used separate gain cells located in different rooms. The lasers were conventionally coupled by passing a portion of the reverse wave from each laser through a hole in the wall and injecting it into other laser's forward wave. The roles of self-feedback and alignment sensitivity in phase-locking are examined. (JES)
