Magnetic Tape Undulators

Abstract

Magnetic undulators and wigglers are an essential part of most Free Electron Laser. An interesting possibility is to make short period undulators (microundulators) out of suitably recorded magnetic tapes. Field calculations and measurements on such microundulators are reported.
